Free Saturday fun

The first Saturday of each month is Kids Day at Home Depot. It’s the opportunity to take your kids to a free workshop early in the morning where they build some fun new project, like a pirate ship, a treasure box, a planter, or a sailboat. Caden has loved these Saturday excursions where he gets “working” as he calls it, and I enjoy the fact that it’s free. Yes, it’s FREE – the magic word that we all get excited about (especially me). Each kid gets that infamous orange apron and everytime they complete a project, they get a pin to attach to the apron. I figure this will help him get used to the idea of gaining merit badges for Scouts at some point. Good preparation, right?

In any case, if you are looking for something fun to take your child to – boys and girls – the free Saturday Kids Workshops are the best! Just watch your fingers when your child starts to hammer. 🙂

I’ve wanted to do these forever and have never gotten around to it. Great idea, and FREE is literally the sexiest word on the planet! We’re going to hit our local HD up next week – boys and girls alike.

I’m telling you, they are the best free workshops! And I love to roll around in anything that is FREE. Just make sure you go on the First Saturday of the month – I’m not sure if they have other stuff the other Saturdays, but you can always check!
