Oktoberfest up at Snowbird has become an annual tradition that we all look forward to come fall. This year Caden kept up with his competitive spirit by winning the musical chairs game for his age group. It was hilarious – he didn’t want to do it. I had to “drag” him up because he was hesitating, unsure of being up in front of a lot of people. But here’s is something very true I know about my son: once you put him in competition, he goes for it and he doesn’t want to lose. I admit it – it’s something of a family trait. We’re highly competitive overachievers. :)Ah well, it was fun to watch and Caden won a pass on the Alpine Slide for being the last kid sitting on a chair. He was so proud of it too, and he carried his ticket back to me with a big grin on his face.
One of our favorite acts to watch during the show in the big tent is Salzberger Echo. They are the most hilarious group! And they yodel amazingly well. If you haven’t been up to Oktoberfest and you can make it, head on up to Snowbird to enjoy the last weekend Oct 6-7.
A side note on our visit this year, it snowed all day Saturday which meant that Kinderland was closed. Caden was disappointed as he likes to participate in the little games they have. But the tent with the food was open for business!
